There are a lot of companies that promise the potential of 3D printing, including Shapeways, Sculpteo, Ponoko, and others, however Kraftwurx developed a platform to make this dreamscape was not only a living, breathing industry, but an entirely new form of manufacturing. The parent company, Digital Reality, has been quietly working on their platform technology for 3D printed manufacturing called Digital Factory™ since the company was established in early 2006.
