At formnext (13-16 November 2018, Frankfurt Messe), 3D printing manufacturers will show a number of new products. Stratasys, for example, will showcase new additive manufacturing solutions for customers across a range of industries.

One of those solutions will involve the latest developments surrounding its metal 3D printing technology with new application parts in the stand’s Innovation Area. Also on display will be parts produced on the Robotic Composite 3D Demonstrator, the visionary Stratasys production system developed in close collaboration with Siemens. It offers manufacturers the capability to print composite parts faster than ever before with an 8-axis motion system – and uniquely – without the need for support material.

 

Visitors to the Manufacturing Corner will learn how businesses like Siemens Mobility are leveraging Stratasys FDM additive manufacturing to produce one-off, custom tools for the production floor on demand, as well as 3D printing spare parts for direct use in vehicle interiors.

Durable yet lightweight FDM materials used by automotive and aerospace companies will also be highlighted. Stratasys’ Fortus range of 3D Printers will be on display, including the recently announced Fortus 380mc Carbon Fiber Edition. Containing 35% chopped carbon-fibre, Nylon 12CF is strong enough to replace metal, allowing designers to develop more practical and functional designs. Stratasys will demonstrate the impressive mechanical properties of FDM Nylon 12CF that can help engineers explore a shift from traditional metal parts to 3D printed plastic composites.

Visitors to the stand will also learn about the multi-material, full-color 3D printer, the Stratasys J750, with the ability to produce complex, color, multi-assembly prototypes in a single print. The Prototyping Area will also house Stratasys’ easy-to-use F123 Series, for office spaces and design workgroups.
