Quickparts (http://www.quickparts.com), one of North America’s largest providers of custom designed parts, ranging from rapid prototyping to plastic injection molding, recently announced the availability of Somos NeXt, an extremely durable stereolithography material for rapid prototyping.

Somos NeXt is a next generation of Stereolithography (SLA) resin that produces very accurate parts with high feature detail.  Based on the existing high-impact DMX-SL material, the NeXt resin suits the production of tough, complex parts with improved moisture resistance and greater thermal properties.

Parts produced from the Somos NeXt material are much more resistant to breakage than parts made with standard stereolithography resins.  It is ideal for use in functional testing applications as well as prototyping applications where toughness is required.  Market segments include aerospace, automotive, consumer products, and electronics.
