At Formnext 2023, visitors looking for solutions to the challenges of post-processing metal parts are specifically invited to the Rivelin Robotics stand (Hall 12, Stand E41).

The challenges of post-processing metal parts are many, and the team behind the Netshape Robots has developed solutions that meet these challenges head-on. Today, for many metal additive manufacturing (AM) applications, the post-processing of the parts remains a dirty, costly, time-consuming, labor-intensive, and often dangerous operation. The Rivelin Netshape solutions offer a cleaner, more cost-effective, streamlined, and automated approach for powder removal, support removal, and finishing.

“Post-processing metal AM parts, especially the complex ones (and let’s face it, that’s a dominant reason for using an additive process in the first place) invariably involves a number of dirty, manual tasks to remove excess powder, remove the part(s) from the essential base plate, or remove the intricate supports that complex geometries require, all before finishing the surface to the prescribed standard. Formnext 2023 provides visitors with an opportunity to learn about the Rivelin Netshape Robots capabilities for automated post-processing and finishing and to discuss specific applications with the Rivelin team. The company will also be highlighting a new automated powder removal concept at Formnext. This is a project that the Rivelin team has worked on in partnership with Solukon, which will be exhibiting at Formnext on the adjacent stand. Rivelin and Solukon have identified areas where the two companies can collaborate and align Solukon’s large automated powder removal solution, the SFM-AT800-S, with Rivelin’s precise and reliable robotic solutions for support removal and finishing, featuring Rivelin Netshape software and Yaskawa EU robots.
